Options for Homes Development Cooperative (OHDC-Rwanda) has a vision to be the number one provider of affordable housing solutions for Rwandans. One of the core principles of OHDC-Rwanda is to incorporate the community into new development by providing homes in exchange for use of community members’ land as well as creating local employment and training opportunities.

Options for Homes Development Cooperative (OHDC-Rwanda) launched its River Bank Estate in December, 2016. River Bank Estate is in Buguesera District. Located near the Nyabarongo River, residents of River Bank Estate experience pleasant climate all year round. The Estate sits on a 5.4 hectare extension, on the east side of Kanzenze Cell, Karumuna Village. River Bank Estate is directly across from the main road servicing Rwanda with easy access to Burundi. A hotel is currently under construction just south of River Bank Estate, and other infrastructure projects are in the works - which will boost the local economy and infrastructure in the area.
