Who is Home Opportunities? We are a non-profit dedicated to making homeownership accessible to everyone.
What projects has Home Opportunities completed? Our staff members have over 40 years of experience - completing over 20 projects throughout their career.
Eligibility
What is the eligibility criteria for purchasing a home? Everyone is eligible to purchase a home as long as; 1. You are working and earning minimum wage or above 2. You can provide a 5% downpayment 3. You intend to live in the home
What is the minimum income required to qualify? We have homes available for individuals starting at $35,000 yearly income.
What is the minimum downpayment required? Individuals and families are required to come up with 5% of the price of the home as a down payment.
Information Sessions
Does everyone need to attend an Information Session? Yes - if you are interested in purchasing at any development you will need to attend an information session to have all the information you will need to move forward!
When is the next Information Session? You can find all our upcoming information sessions on the "Register Now!" tab.
What happens at an Information Session? Information Sessions are a 1 hour-long presentations that will go through the purchase process with Home Opportunities, more information on the developments including specific floor plans and prices for the project and at the end you will get an opportunity to set up a one-on-one meeting with a sales agent to reserve your unit!
How much does an Information Session cost? Information Sessions are completely FREE to attend!
What do I need to bring to an information session? Nothing is required from you - feel free to bring something to take notes but otherwise just show up to learn more!
Purchase Process
What is the first step? All you need to do is sign up for one of our free information sessions on the *Register Now!* tab.
What happens after the Information session? After the information session, you will get the opportunity to place a reservation deposit, which will give you the opportunity to book a meeting to reserve a unit with a dedicated sales agent!

Shared Equity Loan
What is the shared equity loan? The Home Opportunities shared equity loan is a combination of innovative funding that is applied as a loan for your home to reduce your downpayment and monthly carrying costs!
When does it need to be repaid? The shared equity loan only needs to be repaid when you rent or sell your home - if you continue to live there forever you do not need to repay it!
Does everyone qualify for a shared equity loan? Yes, everyone qualifies as long as you fit the basic eligibility criteria; 1. You are working and earning minimum wage or above 2. You can provide a 5% downpayment 3. You intend to live in the home
